Are there any off leash areas for dogs in the parks?
Yes, there is a dog park at Mountain Valley Park, 8600 E. Nace Lane. It has a small dog side and a large dog side. There is a water station, agility equipment and benches.

What are the park hours?
Park hours are as follows:
April 1 - September 30 - 5:00am to 10:00pm
October 1 - March 31 - 7:00am to 10:00pm

I have a maintenance issue at my favorite park - who do I call?
Call the Parks & Recreation department at 928-759-3090 to make a report. Staff will issue a work order to the parks maintenance division.

Contact Animal Control at 928-772-5154.

Who do I notify when an animal in the park is injured? (e.g. duck with injured wings at Urban Forest)
Domestic animals, contact PVPD Animal Control at 928-772-5154.
Wild animals, contact Arizona Game & Fish Department at 602-942-3000.

Are pets allowed on the trails?
Yes, dogs are allowed on multi-use paths and trails as long as the dog is on a leash, under control at all times and the owner cleans up after their pet. Horseback riding is allowed on the Iron King Trail.
