2020 Census

United States Census 2020

Accurate Census 2020 count is critical to Prescott Valley’s future

The U.S. Census is required by the Constitution to take place every 10 years to count every resident in the United States. The data collected by the census helps determine the number of seats that Arizona has in the U.S. House of Representatives. Arizona stands to gain another seat in the House of Representatives following the Census (if 2018 numbers were used) and local voting districts will be redrawn based on population changes.

The 2020 Census will help Prescott Valley receive its fair share of more than $590 billion in federal funds each year for:

  • Roads
  • Schools
  • Libraries
  • Police and Fire Services
  • Health Care Clinics
  • Designing facilities for people with disabilities, the elderly, and children.

The 2020 Census Count will begin on April 1, 2020. Plan now to make sure You Count!
