Oct 12, 2023: PV Enters Contract to Develop Economic Development Strategy

The Town of Prescott Valley has entered into a contract with Rounds Consulting Group to create an extensive economic development strategy for the community.

Rounds will review current economic development trends in Prescott Valley and investigate tourism and entertainment opportunities. The plan will include extensive outreach into the business and public sectors, and gain insight from neighboring communities and specialists in workforce, housing, water and more. The plan will seek to focus on quality growth, identify higher wage job opportunities, additional community amenities, and build on current assets and strengths. 

The contract’s focus areas include evaluation of transportation and broadband; retail, industrial and office uses; the Town’s current infrastructure and policy; improved economic planning and investment; job creation and tax revenues; and analysis of healthcare, water supply, and distribution issues.

Another focus of the contract will be to investigate the opportunities for technology-based industry in Prescott Valley, which has the possibilities of bringing new jobs and tax revenues to the Town.

Town Economic Development Administrator Cutter Chamberlain said, “Having a firm with extensive experience, such as Rounds, thoroughly analyze the Town’s current strategies and create a road map for economic development will strengthen Prescott Valley’s future for both residents and businesses."
